Chad began riding calves in junior rodeos when he was 5 ... He graduated from Groesbeck (Texas) High School in 2006 … When not on road competing, works as a hand for Rettig Ranch … Hobbies are hunting, fishing and golf … Favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan … Favorite food is steak at Texas Roadhouse … Favorite rodeo is the Cheyenne (Wyo.) Frontier Days … Broken right ankle at Athens, Texas, rodeo knocked him out of contention for the National College Finals Rodeo in 2008.
