• 2009: Placed in three rounds of the Wrangler NFR, including a second-place result in Round 2; finished 14th in the world standings with $90,668. Won the Snake River Stampede (Nampa, Idaho) and the Poway (Calif.) Coors Rodeo; co-champion at the PRCA Championship Rodeo (Bismarck, N.D.)
• 2008: Finished second in Round 3 of the Wrangler NFR on Kesler Championship Rodeo's Three Stages and fractured his left wrist when the horse stepped on him. He sat out two rounds due to the injury, then came back to finish the rodeo riding right-handed and finished second in Round 7. Finished 8th in the world standings with $115,939. Won the River City Roundup (Omaha, Neb.); the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo (Pocatello, Idaho) and the Spanish Fork (Utah) Fiesta Days Rodeo. Co-champion at the Red Bluff (Calif.) Roundup; the Magic Valley Stampede (Filer, Idaho) and the Bowman County (N.D.) PRCA Rodeo
• 2007: Won the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Round and average titles at the Snake River Stampede (Nampa, Idaho) and the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.). Co-champion at the Ellensburg (Wash.) Rodeo;  the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Round at the Greeley (Colo.) Independence Stampede; the Oakley (Utah) Independence Day Rodeo and the Fallon County Fair & PRCA Rodeo (Baker, Mont.)
• 2006: Won his first world title with earnings of $237,583 after finishing second in the average and placing in six of 10 rounds at the Wrangler NFR. He won the fourth round with a score of 86 points, tied for the win in the fifth round with an 87 and tied for the win in the ninth round with a score of 84 points. He won the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Championship (Dallas); the Summer Tour Finale (Omaha, Neb.); the IPE & Stampede (Armstrong, British Columbia); the Larimer County Fair & Rodeo (Loveland, Colo.); California Rodeo Salinas; the Reno (Nev.) Rodeo; the North Dakota Winter Show (Valley City); the PRCA Championship Rodeo (Fargo, N.D.) and the SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo (Odessa, Texas). Co-champion at the PRCA Championship Rodeo (Bismarck, N.D.) and tied for first in the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Round at the San Antonio (Texas) Stock Show and Rodeo
• 2005: Won the Roughrider Days Rodeo (Dickinson, N.D.) and was co-champion of the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Round and won the average title at the Greeley (Colo). Independence Stampede. Broke his leg at the SandHills Stock Show & Rodeo (Odessa, Texas) and missed the first half of the season. Finished the year ranked 29th in the world with $33,152
• 2004: Won the Beef Empire Days Rodeo (Garden City, Kan.) and the Dixie National Rodeo (Jackson, Miss.); scored a first-round victory in his debut at the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo (Pocatello, Idaho), riding Korkow Rodeo’s Little Las Vegas Snuff for 87 points. Finished 55th in the world standings with $16,633
• 2003: Won the Ram Badlands Circuit Finals Rodeo (Deadwood, S.D.) to earn his first RNCFR berth; won first-round at California Rodeo Salinas

5-7, 145 … Wife, Jessica (married 2007), is a radiologist at the hospital in Custer, S.D.; daughter Teagan, born in 2011 … Chad is a certified electrician and ranches at his family's place south of Oelrichs, S.D. … His father, Jerry (deceased), rode saddle broncs, but never joined the PRCA … Was one of eight students in the Oelrichs High School class of 1998; competed as a team roper until his senior year of high school…Enjoys hunting and working on cars … Travels with Jeff Willert and Chet Johnson … Lists five-time world champion Billy Etbauer as his idol ...
