Rodeo, the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo (Vernal, Utah), the Ogden (Utah) Pioneer Days, the Rodeo de Sante Fe (N.M.), the Clark County Fair & Rodeo, the Pony Express Rodeo (Eagle Mountain, Utah), the Cody (Wyo.) Stampede, the Oakley Independence Day Rodeo (Oakley City, Utah), the West Jordan (Utah) Western Stampede, the Red Desert Roundup (Rock Springs, Wyo.). Won Rounds 1 and 4 and placed in five rounds in bull ridings at his Wrangler NFR debut. He placed fifth in the average after winning $114,923 and finished third in the world standings with $267,345. Won the Cheyenne (Wyo.) Frontier Days, the California Rodeo Salinas, the Spanish Fork (Utah) Fiesta Days Rodeo, the Los Fresnos (Texas) Rodeo, the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo (Vernal, Utah), the Clark County Fair & Rodeo (Logandale, Nev.), the Angelina Benefit Rodeo (Lufkin, Texas), the Pony Express Rodeo (Eagle Mountain, Utah), the Sisters (Ore.) Pioneer Days Rodeo. Finished 20th in the saddle bronc riding world standings with $71,301. Won the Ogden (Utah) Pioneer Days, the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo (Vernal, Utah), the Big V Feeds Pro Rodeo in McAlester, Okla., the Livermore (Calif.) Rodeo, the Sheridan WYO Rodeo and the Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo (Blackfoot, Idaho)
• 2018: Saddle Bronc Riding: Won the Lakeside (Calif.) Rodeo; the Pony Express Rodeo (Eagle Mountain, Utah); the Strawberry Days Rodeo (Pleasant Grove, Utah); the Folsom (Calif.) Pro Rodeo; the Oakley Independence Day Rodeo (Oakley City, Utah); the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo (Vernal, Utah); and split the win with his uncle Jake Wright at the Western Stampede (West Jordan, Utah). Bull Riding: Won the Lakeside (Calif.) Rodeo; the St. Paul (Ore.) Rodeo; the Ute Stampede (Nephi, Utah); and the Horse Heaven / Kennewick (Wash.) Round-Up. Finished the year with $68,069. Placed first in the 2018 RAM Rodeo Permit Standings for saddle bronc riding with $28,579 and second for bull riding with $39,49.

5-8, 140 … Single … Parents, Cody and ShaRee Wright, brothers Rusty, Ryder and Statler, sister Lily … Cody is a two-time world champion saddle bronc rider (2008, 2010) and Ryder is the 2017 world champion … Uncles are world champion saddle bronc riders, Jesse Wright (2012) and Spencer Wright (2014); uncles Jake, Calvin and Alex Wright also compete in saddle bronc riding … Started competing in rodeo in fourth grade and is the only member of the Wright family to compete in bull riding in addition to saddle bronc riding … Graduated from Milford High School in 2018 with a class of 35 students … Does cowboy work with his dad when not competing in rodeo … Competed in football and wrestling in high school … Considers Rodeo Austin to be the most challenging rodeo, but he likes every rodeo because “you’re around friends and my whole family is there” … Likes riding Big Stone Rodeo’s Mortimer because he’s won all three times on him … Also likes to ride Bar T Rodeo’s Pinto Pass and Powder River Rodeo’s Rich-N-Fancy … Looks up to his dad and bull rider J.B.
