• 2018: Finished third in the world standings with $226,900. Won the average at his first Wrangler NFR, earning $129,308. Placed in seven rounds. Won the Cody (Wyo.) Stampede and the Reno (Nev.) Rodeo, with Aaron Tsinigine. Won the RAM Mountain States Circuit Finals Rodeo (Loveland, Colo.) with Ty Blasingame. Won the Dixie National Rodeo (Jackson, Miss.) and the Crockett (Texas) Lions Club PRCA Rodeo with Tyler Wade. Won the Kimball (Neb.) - Banner Fair and Rodeo, with J.D. • 2016: (Partner J.D. Yates) Won the Raton (N.M.) PRCA Rodeo. Ranked 34th in the team roping world standings with $31,742, 449th in tie-down roping with $183, and 106th in the steer roping with $591. 
• 2015: Won the Coors Pro Rodeo (Gillette, Wyo.) with Scott White; split the win at the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo (Castle Rock, Colo.) with J.D. Yates. Ranked 68th in the team roping world standings with $15,341, and 462nd in tie-down roping with $225.  
• 2014: (Partner J.D. Yates) Won the Eagle (Colo.) County Fair & Rodeo; and the Dick Stull Memorial Rodeo (Sterling, Colo.). Ranked 63rd in the team roping world standings with $17,477.

Yates and Amy Shields; half-brothers Carlo and Sonny, half-sister Peyton  … Dad has qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo 21 times (1975-93, 1996, and 2002) … Other relatives in the PRCA are his grandpa, Dick Yates, cousin, Jay Wadhams, and aunt Kelly Yates … Helps on his dad’s ranch when not competing … Started competing in rodeo when he was 12 years old … Competed at the National High School Finals Rodeo in 2012-13 and the College National Finals Rodeo in 2014-18 … Nickname is Dizzle, it was given to him in high school and just stuck since then … Graduated from Pueblo County High School in 2013 with a class of 153 students, earned his associate degree and an ag business degree while attending Eastern Wyoming College, Laramie County Community College, and Casper College … Rodeo superstitions include not putting his hat on the bed and doing everything in pairs “because I rope two feet” … Considers the Pendleton (Ore.) Roundup to be the toughest competition because of the arena having grass … Cheyenne (Wyo.)
