6-1, 215 … Wife Katie, daughter Blakely, parents Mike and Jeri, sister Jessica … Started competing in rodeo when he was 5-6 years old since his dad was a PRCA team roper … Graduated from Hallsville (Texas) High School in 2012 with a class of about 350 students … Trains horses for a living … Says the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo in 2017 was his most challenging rodeo since there were “lots of good steers and tough competition” … Describes his steer wrestling style as similar to 2001 world champion steer wrestler Rope Myers, “fast as you can go, without making mistakes” … Says he stays as active as possible by running, lifting free weights and competing in rodeos to stay sharp … Enjoys training horses and spending time with his family when not on the road … the Pendleton (Ore.)
