• 2007: Won Rounds 2, 9 and 10 at the Wrangler NFR en route to claiming the average title and the gold buckle. He more than doubled his regular season earnings with checks totaling $117,933 in Las Vegas and finished with a total of $228,942. Won the Guymon (Okla.) Pioneer Days Rodeo;  the Livermore (Calif.) Rodeo; the Xtreme Bulls Tour event in Reno, Nev.; the Reno (Nev.) Rodeo; the Greeley (Colo.) Independence Day Stampede; the Lehi (Utah) Round-Up; the War Bonnet Roundup (Idaho Falls, Idaho) and the Farm-City Pro Rodeo (Hermiston, Ore.); co-champion at the Redding (Calif.) Rodeo
• 2006: Placed in four rounds at the Wrangler NFR, winning the fourth round with a score of 90.5 points on Growney Brothers’ Golden Ghost. Finished third in the average with a total score of 408 points on five head and finished second in the world standings behind B.J. Schumacher with $174,652. Won the Pasadena (Texas) ProRodeo; the Great American West Rodeo (Logan, Utah); the Canyonlands Rodeo (Moab, Utah); the Fort Worth (Texas) Stock Show & Rodeo and the Clovis (Calif.) Rodeo. Won the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Round and average title at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
• 2005: Won the eighth round at the Wrangler NFR with an 86.5-point ride on Big Bend Rodeo’s Keller Special and placed in three other rounds in NFR debut. Won the Norco (Calif.) Mounted Posse Rodeo; the Davis County Fair & PRCA Rodeo (Farmington, Utah); the War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo (Idaho Falls, Idaho); the Spanish Fork (Utah) Fiesta Days Rodeo; the Lehi (Utah) Round-Up; the Livermore (Calif.) Rodeo and the Walker County Fair & PRCA Rodeo (Huntsville, Texas). Finished the year eighth in the world standings with $146,406

5-8, 135 … Wife, Jerika Sperry (married Oct. 15, 2010); daughter Rivers; son Ledgen … Enjoys hunting deer and elk, boating and snowboarding … Started rodeo career as a team and tie-down roper and didn’t begin riding bulls until he was a junior at Payson (Utah) High School … Watched DVDs of bull riders to learn technique and likens his style to that of Jim Sharp and Lane Frost … Silcox’s dad, Brad, is an auctioneer who used to ride bulls and his brother Shawn was a bareback rider … Suffered a broken jaw and a concussion when he bumped heads with Crossfire Hurricane in the River City Roundup (Omaha, Neb.) in September 2007 and had to have his jaw wired shut. He lost 15 pounds and did not compete again until the Wrangler NFR ... Traveled to Australia in January 2008 with Steve Woolsey to compete in an international bull-riding event, finishing second in the average ... Suffered a broken tibia and fibula in his right leg on Aug. 24, 2008, when he was stepped on by Western Rodeo's Dippin' Dots during competition in the Bremerton, Wash., Xtreme Bulls Tour event, presented by B&W Trailer Hitches
