Personal
5-6, 150 ... Wife, Francie (married May 2005); daughter, Fiona (born Nov. 2011) ... Hobbies include raising and judging livestock ... Enjoys watching Texas Tech football ... Parents are Terry and Kathy and he has one sister ... Travels with Will Lowe, Caine Riddle and Tom McFarland; they call their group the “Wolfpack” ... Rodeo idol is Bruce Ford … Toward the end of the 2000 season, he sustained a severe leg injury in Bremerton, Wash ... Finished 19th in 2001 after missing first part of that year rehabbing. In 2002, at the Tour Championships in Dallas after setting the world record, he reinjured his leg. Following the Wrangler NFR, doctors recommended immediate surgery. Indeed, in a two-month span he had eight surgeries to finally correct the problem (doctors had to take away part of the bone in his leg and then had to stretch what was left to make it the same length as the other leg). He spent the rest of the year in rehab, working out with the Texas Tech football team after returning to school full time. He made the dean’s list ... His 2007 season was slowed by elbow and ankle injuries
