Leon Adams was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2008 with his wife Vicki. Leon passed away Oct. 30. He was 87. For parts of five decades, the husband-and-wife team entertained rodeo fans all over the world with their horsemanship, innovative flair and skill in training animals.

Since 1941, the Grand National Stock Show & Rodeo in San Francisco has played host to some of ProRodeo’s biggest names and most talented cowboys – but only the best made the arena record book. In a ride that’s unlikely to be topped, bull rider Don Gay set the arena record with a 97-point ride on RSC’s Oscar in 1977. Gay’s score is the third-highest in ProRodeo history, and it’s five points higher than any bull ride made throughout the 2017 season.
