Standings Shuffle: 31 cowboys move up
The last weekend of April featured some of the biggest rodeos in the spring run and 31 cowboys cashed in big time and improved their position within the Top 15 of the WEATHER GUARD® PRCA World Standings.
In a bittersweet turn of events, five cowboys launched themselves up in the world standings to right on the bubble, and are now ranked at No. 16.
• Steer roper Reo Lohse went from 32nd to 16th and is $192 away from breaking into the Top 15.
• Steer wrestler
Rowdy Parrott
went from 23rd to 16th and is $309 away from breaking into the Top 15.
• Team roping header
Clay Tryan
went from 31st to 16th and is $604 away from breaking into the Top 15.
• Team roping heeler
Jade Corkill
went from 27th to 16th and is $604 away from breaking into the Top 15.
• Bareback rider
Clayton Biglow
went from 22nd to 16th and is $3,478 away from breaking into the Top 15.
Veteran and rookie cowboys alike know it’s easier to maintain a position at the top than it is to play catch-up when trying to qualify for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo presented by Polaris RANGER. It’s important to build a solid lead as the summer season approaches.
Seven of the Top 15 steer ropers saw their position in the world stands improve, largely thanks to the National Circuit Finals Steer Roping in Torrington, Wyo.
The following cowboys saw their position in the world standings improve between April 24 and May 1.
