Trevor Brazile is one name in ProRodeo that needs no introduction, as his rodeo résumé is longer than the 10 days of competition at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Among the Texas cowboy’s numerous achievements and records is sharing the Wrangler NFR record for fastest tie-down roping run across all 10 rounds.

During Round 8 of the 2015 Wrangler NFR, Brazile matched tie-down roper Cody Ohl’s 2003 Round 10 record-setting time of 6.5 seconds.

Brazile holds five records at the Wrangler NFR:
• Team Roping – Round 6 (3.5 seconds, 2011) and Round 7 (3.6 seconds, 2015), both with Patrick Smith
• Tie-down Roping – Round 1 (6.8 seconds, 2015), Round 7 (6.7 seconds, 2007) and Round 8 (6.5 seconds, 2015)

Although he didn’t win the tie-down roping world title in 2015, it was still a successful year for Brazile as he extended his record total of world championships to 23 with his sixth steer roping gold buckle and record 13th all-around title (record 10th in a row) with $518,011. That year, he also broke the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping average record with 111.3 seconds on 10 head and set an NFSR earnings record with $121,112. Brazile also ranked second in the world standings in tie-down roping with $228,055 and fourth in team roping with $191,960.

Now, he’s fresh off winning his 25th world title by scoring his seventh steer roping world title at the 2019 NFSR. To date, Brazile has won the following world titles since his rookie year in 1996:
• All-around – 2002-04, 2006-15, 2018
• Tie-down roping – 2007, 2009-10
• Team roping – 2010
• Steer roping – 2006-07, 2011, 2013-15, 2019

Although he considers himself to be semi-retired, Brazile continues his winning ways and is on track to break the $7 million mark in total career earnings thanks to his 22 NFSR qualifications (1997-2015, 2017-19) and 31 qualifications for the Wrangler NFR (tie-down roping in 1999-2011, 2013-15 and 2017-18; and team roping in 1998, 2003-04 and 2006-15).
