The only thing higher than the Rooftop Rodeo’s elevation of 7,500 feet is the total payout at this scenic rodeo in Estes Park, Colo.

Since 1947, the Rooftop Rodeo has hosted some of the biggest names in ProRodeo, but only the best made the rodeo’s record book.

Bareback rider Kelly Timberman holds the longest-standing unmatched record at the Rooftop Rodeo with his 88-point ride in 2001.

The Wyoming cowboy has won more than $1.35 million since beginning his ProRodeo career in 2000, largely thanks to winning the 2004 world title and making seven trips to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (2004-10).

Timberman competed at the College National Finals Rodeo in 1999-2000 and in 2004 set a single-season earnings record in bareback riding with $225,181. (That record is now held by Tim O'Connell who won $374,272 in 2016.)

Timberman picked up wins across North America for nearly 20 years, ending the 2018 season ranked 74th in the world standings at 42 years old.

During his career, some of his wins include:

• The Clark County Fair & Rodeo in Logandale, Nev. (2007-08)
• The Cody (Wyo.) Stampede (Co-champion 2004)
• The Dodge Mountain States Circuit Finals Rodeo in Denver (2010)
• The Elizabeth (Colo.) Stampede Rodeo (2008, 2010, 2016-17)
• La Fiesta de los Vaqueros in Tucson, Ariz. (2011)
• The Fort Worth (Texas) Stock Show & Rodeo (2004)
• The Pendleton (Ore.) Round-Up (Co-champion 2010)
• The Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede (Co-champion 2004)
• The Puyallup (Wash.) Pro Rodeo (2007)
• Rodeo Austin (Texas) (2003, co-champion 2009)
• The San Angelo (Texas) Stock Show & Rodeo (2008)
• The Strathmore (Alberta) Stampede (2009)
• The World’s Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Ariz. (2010)

Cowboys will have a chance to beat Timberman’s record, and the rest, July 8-13. Fans can catch the action at one of the highest rodeos in the country on
