Spud has three younger sisters, Twila, Mikala and Fallon…Born Tyson Michael Jones, his dad started calling him "Spud" when he was 1 year old and the nickname stuck…Hobbies include hunting, fishing, spending time in the mountains of New Mexico and training horses. Went to California in 2008 to learn to surf…He was home schooled by his mother from his sophomore year of high school through graduation in 2006…Competed in bull riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping and team roping for nearby Tohatchi High School…Learned the sport from his dad, who was a PRCA bull rider who competed at the Cheyenne (Wyo.)
