• Won the all-around title at the SandHills Stock Show & Rodeo (Odessa, Texas)
• Won the steer roping at the Woodward (Okla.) Elks Rodeo
Career Highlights
• 2008: Won Round 10 of the National Finals Steer Roping (Hobbs, N.M.) with a rodeo-best time of 9.3 seconds; placed in five of 10 rounds
• 2007: Finished 17th in steer roping world standings
• 2006: Won Round 2 of the NFSR with a 9.3-second run, then stopped the clock in 8.7 seconds to win Round 10; placed in six of 10 rounds of the NFSR and finished fifth in the final world standings.
• 2005: Co-champion at the Junction (Texas) Twist-Off ProRodeo and won the Walker County Fair & PRCA Rodeo (Huntsville, Texas). Finished the year eighth in the world with $32,611.
• 2004: Won the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo (Rosenberg, Texas); finished the year 16th in the world with $16,234.
• 2003: All-around and steer roping champion at Will Rogers Stampede (Claremore, Okla.); co-champion steer roper at Coleman (Okla.) PRCA Rodeo; runner-up all-around and steer roping champion at West of the Pecos (Texas) Rodeo; owner of the AQHA Steer Roping Horse of the Year - Fannin War Leo (Leo).
• 2002: Qualified for first National Finals Steer Roping; recorded fastest time - 12.9 seconds - at Cheyenne (Wyo.) Frontier Days.
• 2001: Won the 101 Wild West Rodeo (Ponca City, Okla.)
• Qualified for the Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo, 2001-03.

6-0, 170...Wife, Candace; children, Jett and Danlee...Parents are Pam and Dan Fisher. Dan is a 12-time NFSR qualifier who is also a rancher/oilman. Pam serves on the Andrews (Texas) School Board...Vin got interested in rodeo through his dad and grandfather, Marvin. Started roping from horseback at age 7 and began competing in rodeo in 1992 when he was just 11 years old. His brother, J. Tom, also competes in the PRCA and he has one sister. Travels with his dad and brother...Graduated from Andrews High School in 1999....Hobbies include basketball and skiing...Favorite sports team is the San Antonio Spurs...Rodeo idols are his father and grandfather
